Let Freedom Ring Concert
Looking for things to do on the Outer Banks 4th of July weekend? Plan to attend the Let Freedom Ring Patriotic Musical Presentation at Outer Banks Presbyterian. This free event is entertainment for the entire family.

OBPC CELEBRATES AMERICA'S INDEPENDENCE WITH MUSICAL
Outer Banks Presbyterian Church will celebrate America’s independence with a musical presentation Sunday, July 5 at 7 p.m.
Featured will be the sanctuary choir, Jubilate Handbell Ringers, guest singers and musicians. Musical Director, Jason Evans and Choir Director, Nonie Booth, will be coordinating all these groups. The program, which is in four parts, will begin with a prelude of patriotic selections by the Jubilate Handbell Ringers. After the presentation of colours a selection of favorite patriotic hymns will follow.
A Salute to American Music is the next segment which will include a Montage of American Hymns, Creation Will Be At Peace, as well as a beautiful piano/organ duet transcription of the well loved hymn, America, the Beautiful, featuring Judy Beacham on organ and Jason Evans on piano.
A Tribute to the fallen will highlight the Jubilate Handbell Ringers as they present Make Me an Instrument of Thy Peace which was arranged as a tribute to the victims of the shootings at Columbine High School and other acts of senseless violence. Also a monologue on Taps and A Song for the Unsung Hero will finish out this portion of the program.
The final portion of the program will begin with a rousing rendition of Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory, featuring 2 pianos, organ and handbells, a Salute to Patriotic Music which will feature readings as well as a musical salute to each branch of the military and other moving songs of patriotism. The program will close with God Bless the U.S.A and God, Bless America. Soloists Shoshannah Fountain, Pamela Tanner, Lisa Martinez and Sondra Meinhardt as well as guest musicians, Judy Beacham, organist, Kenton Holsapple, bass guitarist and George Graham, drummer, will join with the choir of OBPC in making this an evening to remember!
The stirring program will be followed by a social in the fellowship hall. The community is cordially invited to attend. A nursery will be provided on site.
